1934 Alfa Romeo 6C 2300 Pescara-Based “Monza”

Built in the spirit of Alfa Romeo’s great pre-war sports cars, this Monza-style special was constructed around period 6C 2300 Pescara components, with careful attention paid to authentic proportions, exceptional finish quality, and genuine usability.

Completed by Automotive Restorations Ltd. of Christchurch, New Zealand, the car is powered by a 2,309-cc DOHC inline-six fitted with a Roots-type supercharger during its build, resulting in the configuration presented today. A four-speed manual gearbox, four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes, and live axles front and rear deliver a robust, straightforward mechanical package well suited to touring, rallies, and vintage driving events.

Since arriving in the United States, it has been carefully maintained by D. L. George Historic Motorcars and remains an exceptionally well-finished, highly usable Alfa Romeo—ready to be driven, shown, and enjoyed. Representative of its eligibility in the U.S., this example is a multiple-time participant in the Colorado Grand.
